Sorry to disappoint if you were looking for a post about Howie Mandel.

This post is about work. Did I just lose everyone? Well it's a good thing I'm the only one that reads this so I've got my attention!

A part of the average work day is bitching about being at work and having to work. In my little world at work there are 6 of us ladies that work pretty closely together...really it's 7 but the seventh is new to the team so we'll just forget about her for the moment. Anyway. We are like a little family that laughs and cries together and ever since we've had some big changes we've become even closer.

The past few weeks have been strange and pointless with a lot of downtime from our system. Yet of course we have tons of stuff to keep us busy I think other team members within the IP group don't have much work to do and so they are able to help out with other projects. Maybe my team is slow but whatever...Our system finally came up and so we've been working hard to get what needs to get done ASAP. Throughout the day we get various emails from our managers and vP's about getting all this stuff done. The VP wants this done tomorrow, the VP wants this done by Friday. We've had a working system for a day and it's like we've been twiddling our thumbs all day just waiting for someone to tell us what to do....nevermind the mounds of files we have sitting on our desks because things keep changing.

So around 1pm today my cubemate and I started complaining about an email our manager sent us wanting to know when we expect to be all caught up. We started joking around saying that we were going to write back next year. I turned around and asked our other cubemate if she emailed him back. She nodded that she had and then she said "I'm all caught up....I've been caught up since before the system went down."

Well that shut us up. Now where is the fun in being caught up?

Crap....I need to stop being on facebook while at work.
