Saturday was fun. We made a trip out to the Friends of Pima County Public Library book sale and we left the place with 3 bags full of books. For someone that hated going to Bookman's I've become somewhat of a book whore lately. But unlike my husband, the real book whore of Pima county, I can't buy books knowing that I have 10 more I still need to read at home. I especially can't buy these books at 7-9 bucks. BUT....when books are fiddycents I will buy as many books as I want!!!!!
I found two Mad books while checking out the sale. Xavier was a huge Mad magazine collector growing up. He had tons of them. My mom even threw a bunch away as punishment but yet he was still left with an impressive collection. I remember reading them all the time not getting most of the jokes until I got older but I always loved spy vs. spy. I'm pretty sure Xavier had the Mad's Look at Modern Thinking. When I found two of the books at the sale it just took me back. It was a lot of fun to go to this booksale and I can't wait for the next one!
Saturday night we made our way over to Danny and Mia's house to celebrate Mia's graduation and her Masters in Social Work! Yay Mia!!!!! We had fun watching the festivities, eating burgers, and avoiding Danny when he was making tequila shot rounds. At one point this one couple joined the party with their rather large dog. The dog chased Siva around and then it stopped probably 5 feet away from where we sitting and left his gift. Oh man....nothing says love like a big steaming pile of ......... It was pretty funny but it was quite stinky! It was fun catching up with some friends and it was also fun watching Mia open her graduation presents and shooshing everyone so they could all hear her music cards.
It was a nice day!

Just now saw this post, I've been avoiding my blog because I haven't updated it in forever, and that means that I've missed reading yours, since I click over from my blog to read it! That was way too long of an explanation to segue into the fact that I now refer to the big dog as Sir Poopsalot, because he holds it until he comes to our house. I'm going to start doing that when I go visit them...they better get out the plunger.
