This is the second Sunday that Zac and I have made the trip to Marana bringing gifts and foods. Since my mom has had shoulder surgery she hasn't been doing so well. The pain is too much for her and since she can't do much with one hand she gets easily frustrated and down on herself. I've called her a few times and she just sounds like she's on the edge of breaking down. This week we brought over some KFC and some Krispy Kremes for dessert. They never had Krispy Kreme donuts and I think they really enjoyed the treat! We spent the rest of our visit showing my parents how to use the dishwasher and then watching my Dad tear the house apart looking for the dishwasher instructions because he decided it was taking too long. When Zac found the manual online and at the same my mom found the instructions Zac pointed out that the first time the dishwasher is run it will run two extra rinse cycles to get the sensors in line. Once we told my dad that he was finally satisfied. We stayed until the end and I think that experience convinced my dad that washing the dishes by hand is faster and easier! It was pretty funny!
I hope our visit made my mom a little happier. I hope at least the donuts made her smile!
