nothing like a hot shower!

I love hot showers! I don't care if you think I'm crazy. First thing in the morning a hot shower is the best!

It's been over a month now that we haven't had gas for our water heater and stove. We have either been grilling or cooking out of our microwave. I've been washing dishes with cold water.

The only reason it took so long is because we went the alternative route. When we found out how much the gas company and plumbers would charge us we had to find out another way where this would cost us less than $1,000. Before the 4th of July, family helped dig up the trench. Then we lost two weeks because some family members went on vacation. When we heard they were back in town the next part of installing the new pipe started. Then the pressure testing roller coaster started. It seemed that the pressure tests held for everyone but Zac. The minute the other people would walk away the pressure started to fall. Zac found the leak and the pressure testing continued. When he was finally satisfied and sick of it he called for the inspector. It passed. Zac still wasn't satisfied with the pressure and we left it alone for the rest of the week. Finally, Zac decided to wrap up the pipes and let the gas company decide our fate. After the left over gas pipe tried to attack Zac we were all done with this gas thing.

I ended up staying home yesterday to wait for the gas guy. I don't think Zac trusted me enough to be able to write down or remember what the gas guy might say. Whatever.... The guy finally showed up around 11:30 and left about 15 minutes later. He then told me the glorious news...you are all set and you should have hot water in half an hour!

I texted Zac to tell him we have gas. He texted me back...already? did they check anything?

I think the only one that will be sad to have this whole ordeal be over with will be Daisy. She likes to jump over the open trench and roll around in the dirt.
