o christmas tree

This afternoon I put up our new fake tree. Friday when we went to Target they had a special on a 6 ft tree. Zac put his pouty face on and asked why we needed another tree. I bought a little one about 2 years ago and that was a struggle to get too. I told him I wanted one and I would just buy it anyways when he wasn't around. As I was looking down another aisle here comes Zac with the tree box in the cart. I was so happy! I just like decorating the house for the holidays. I like looking at the decorations and the lights twinkling.

I don't care about fake or real trees. I think fake trees are easier to deal with and I feel bad when I see all those live trees on the curb when people are done with them. If you go to my parent's house you can see how many real trees we've had growing up because they are all planted in our yard. Maybe someday I'll change my mind but for now I'm perfectly content with my fake tree.

Yesterday while perusing the internets I saw that one of my coworkers put up on facebook about going to a restaurant to celebrate her birthday. I did a web search for the restaurant and I noticed a misspelling on the website. I clicked on the contact me button and I sent them a message. They had a real nice website and it just irked me that they spelled executive as execuative. Today I got an email from the VP of the restaurant group thanking me for finding the mistake and offered dinner on him at the restaurant if I wanted to take him up on it! Cool beans! I wasn't expecting anything in fact I've done this before when our own company sent out an email blast spelling independence wrong.

Time to read before bed.
