the end to a good week

This past week has been kind of iffy. We have both been on edge for completely different reasons and we were already questioning how this new schedule of Zac's would work out.

Well it worked out fine. We've had weekends before but now we know this is somewhat more of a regular thing. Friday we went out for dinner on University and decided on a thai restaurant. We decided to eat outside because the nights are absolutely gorgeous. So as we sat up on the 2nd floor above all the noise and traffic, we ate under the stars and the twinkling lights of the patio. While we were eating a wine tasting was also going on. As part of the wine tasting there was a guitar and trumpet player adding to the ambiance. We declined taking part of the wine tasting instead we ordered a mojito and I got a beer. Originally I was going to get a beer similar to Stella Artois but then the waitress told me all they had was a 40 oz. Yeah no thank you! So instead I went with my next option....Tiger! Rarrr.....

Saturday we went to Tucson Meet Yourself. I guess this thing has been going on for a while and I never even knew about it until a couple years ago. The festival is cleverly nicknamed "Tucson Eat Yourself" and that would be most accurate. We went for lunch and lunch is what we found. We stopped at the Greek booth for some gyro and chicken something. We went to the Vietnamese booth for cinnamon tea (awesome) and green tea. We bought roasted corn and covered it in butter, chile powder and various other things I could get on it. Our next stop was Indian frybread with powdered sugar and one taco de carne asada. Our last stops included fried bananas(?) and something else from the Vietnamese stand that was by far the greatest find of the festival. I'm kicking myself because I can't remember the name of it but beside the name on the menu they called it their version of an eegee. The tasty dessert included shaved ice, diced pineapple, other chopped up fruit, something yogurty, boba pearls and who knows what else but it was good! And Zac got a honeydew boba. We left quite satisfied!

The rest of Saturday and Sunday was left to Zac studying while I did laundry and cleaned some. We went out for a few more meals since we don't believe in buying groceries at the minute. We watched our netflix. I put up the Halloween decorations and got out the brush and bulk materials for our pick up. The past couple hours I watched a movie in the bedroom now that we finally moved our old tv in after a month of just sitting on the living room floor.

Now it's time for bed and I'm writing this post as my uber geek of a husband is playing video games with his headset on and shouting at his uncle about something called a ninpo or a nympho.

G'night all!
