Some Harrison Ford and some Jacob Valenzuela

Thursday night we were invited to celebrate Danny's birthday by going to watch Indiana Jones. Awesome!!! It was alot of fun to see Harrison Ford back in the role. Surprisingly, he didn't look too old. Either he ages well or he got some work done around his eyes. Whatever, it was still fun to get caught up in the adventure. After the movie we checked out Danny and Mia's house and played with the doggies. Daisy definitely has some competition now because Siva is about as big as Daisy now and she still has a lot to grow. I can't wait for another puppy play date to see how they play with each other. I will gladly cuddle with Hiccup, because he needs protecting.

Last night we went to the Calexico benefit concert at The Rialto. We got to see tons of local artists play together to help raise money for Mariachi Aztlan to make it to Washington D.C. We managed to get right up in front. I also didn't mind that I had a perfect view of Jacob Valenzuela. On the way home I told Zac I would leave him for Jacob but then I corrected my statement and said that Zac would probably leave me for Jacob.

May updates-Full House

Once upon a time life was almost boring. I worked my Monday through Friday schedule and I didn't do much on weekends. Occasionally, something would pop up like a birthday, trip out of town or an engagement to keep us on our toes but May has been a bit different.

May started out with the dreaded Mustache Month. Like most deranged men, Zac was absolutely giddy to transform into the 70's porn star he has always dreamed of becoming.

He loves his mustache. He will probably kill me now.

Moving on, we then had a full house for almost a week. Zac's mom and sister stayed with us for a bit. Wednesday they both arrived and left the following Monday and Tuesday. At this point Daisy was so excited to have new people to love her that she had no idea what was coming next. Her best buds, Hudsy and Bishop also decided to come over for the weekend. Daisy went absolutely nuts. The doggies got baths and Bishop got some pool time. They all got tortillas for breakfast one morning and a nice big bed to sleep on.

The same Friday we were invited to a graduation party for our friend Carla. Her dad rides mules and so her party was going to be at the mule farm. We weren't going to miss a party at the mule farm. We feasted on yummy mexican food and great cake. Another couple slightly older than us decided to sit at our table. Turns out they were really cool and so they gave us some wedding advice and it was just so nice to talk to some down to earth people. Did I get any pictures of Carla? Nope...sorry Carla.

The week with Moms and sister was filled with a lot of eating. We took them to several places around town and Moms Chapman made a few meals for us. It was fun to see them and spend time with them. Next time we definitely need a guest bedroom. That Sunday Zac's cousin that is currently attending ASU came down and we got to spend some time with her. Hudsy and Bishop were also very happy on Sunday because that is when Dave and Jaime came back for them. We headed on down to Guero Canelo and feasted. Later that evening we took Zac's family up to Starr Pass to see the city lights and spy on the Marriott at Starr Pass.

Of course we'll gladly accept and invite anyone to our house but it is always nice to go back to what you are used to and for us that means just the three of us.

tiger pride

It is finally time for my 10 year reunion from high school. There is a myspace page set up and I am obsessed with checking it. It consumes me. The coordinator for the reunion added blog posts asking questions and inviting us to answer and tell stories and stuff. One post was our high school crush. I broke down and I admitted my crush to the hottest guy ever, aside from Zac. His name was Shad. Oh god I still remember when he graduated, my friend and I were sophomores at the time and I got the courage to tap on his shoulder and say congratulations and good luck. He thanked me and then hugged me. I was absolutely delirious and as I turned around I looked at my friend and she was crying! Hah!!!! I'm sure she was crying with jealousy!!!!!

I also posted about a most embarrassing moment of being an athletic trainer my freshman year and having to give one of the hottest seniors an ice bag. After giving him the ice bag he asked me how he should put it on. I asked him what was wrong and he told he pulled his groin muscle. He then asked me if he needed to put the ice bag under his shorts or take off his shorts. I turned red and asked the head trainer. I didn't know what to say.

they make me prettier too

So in my little shoe land of work we have acquired the Earth shoe account. I couldn't resist buying a pair and so on my birthday I felt I deserved some new birthday shoes and would be willing to break my $1 limit. After breaking my $60 limit (including discount) I had my first pair of amazing Earth shoes.

These bad boys have the negative heel technology, so it automatically makes you stand up straighter because you don't want to feel like you're going to fall over backwards. Supposedly, you get all the benefits as shown in the picture. I told my sister in law that these shoes help you lose weight and make you prettier.

I like to believe that last part.

So far I think my posture has been better only because I don't like feeling like I'm going to fall backwards. I have also managed to lose all circulation in my right foot because the stupid band that goes across my foot is too tight. I also have scraped up my feet because I'm not wearing socks with them. So all in all, I think I look cool.

I still think I'm a little prettier with them on. Did I mention these shoes are vegan? Says so on the box and shoes.

i like clean clothes

Finally!!!!!! We have a washer that washes, spins, rinses and all that good stuff. We have a washer that doesn't leak two seconds after turning it on! We have a washer that doesn't leave the clothes soaked with spots of caked on detergent!

Our washer is an older model, not like the fancy one shown. Since we don't know what will be going on when we move into this mythical house we'd like to own 6-12 months from now well we thought we'd save some money and get something that works.

A good washer is like good sex. Makes you want to do it more often. Wait....not sex, lets put "shopping for shoes" in there. Perfect.

sparkly

So far with this ring....I have managed to scratch Zac several times. I have forgotten about it two times after taking it off and then freaked out when I remembered. I have finally used the term fiancee. I went to my first bridal fair alone and had to tell everyone why my husband to be wasn't there (because he was working and I didn't tell him). I managed to not freak out when the vendors at the bridal fair told me I didn't have enough time to plan a wedding. I've looked at the same bridal magazine at least 10 times. And I think I have two wedding planners on reserve, Mia and Dave.
I have also won a free 8x10 and 5x7 if I use a certain photographer and buy a package from them. I also got a phone call from some street minstrel quartet. I think they might stalk me until I tell them I'm already married.
