This is the first Tyler Perry movie I have watched. I've never had a desire to watch any before and probably won't ever need to watch any other ones because I'm pretty sure they all follow the same formula. There was a lot of anger in this movie. Anger against the man, anger against the establishment and anger for being oppressed.Yet the characters all created their own shitty drama so I didn't feel sorry for any of them. Not even the sob story the poor single mother, and also the janitor at Deeds Corporation, gives to Mr. Deeds (Tyler Perry). It all made me want to throw a shoe at the TV.
But there was a blast from the past with Phylicia Rashad playing the mom. I haven't seen her since The Cosby Show days.
