The holidays came and went. We put in a new door so that our robber friends can try again. We had a set of parental units stay with us and helped house sit for us while Zac and I went with the other set of parental units to Vegas.
Our Vegas adventure started out with switching hotel rooms twice. Note to self, never book a room at Imperial Palace even if it is free and even if they offer you to stay forever. I also learned where I got my cranky pants from. From my Dad! We didn't have any luck winning millions in Vegas but it was still a fun little getaway. On our way back we stopped at an outlet mall for a little shopping and then we headed to Williams, AZ where we spent the night in a Motel 6 watching Lord of the Rings while eating some KFC. The next day we spent the morning at the Grand Canyon and then headed home driving through snow covered Flagstaff. The picture above is when we where getting into Flagstaff. Luckily, we came home a few days before a winter storm hit Flagstaff, shutting down the highways in and out of the city.
New Year's was pretty rockin watching Carson Daly on tv waiting for midnight. We watched some fireworks, said Happy New Year's to each other and went to bed.
The end of December and the beginning of January haven't been that great so far. Shootings, deaths, robbery and bankruptcy have all been a part of life. Here's hoping that things get better fast!
