On my to-do list while in Vegas was to visit the M&M store to purchase a dispenser. Usually when someone goes on vacation the person tries to bring back souvenirs of sorts. So far the best souvenirs are magnets, pens, and candy. I thought since I work with all woman and 3 guys and we all love chocolate that this would be a good general office gift. So I bought the dispenser and an expensive pound of fun colored m&m's. It was a big hit. I think most of my co-workers stopped by to get a few m&m's.
So now that we have a constant chocolate fix I took a quick break and on my way to the restrooms I saw the President's secretary walk toward the breakroom with a huge cake. I waited for the secretary to leave before swooping in to inspect the cake and to my surprise it was chocolate cake from costco. I came back to my desk with a piece of cake and stuffed it in my mouth while emailing my friends that there was cake in the breakroom and saying out loud how good the cake was with cream cheese filling. Within five minutes everyone in our department knew about the cake and like the vultures we are we probably gobbled that cake up before anybody else had a chance.
The only other souvenirs I bought were for our dogsitter, Shelly. I brought her a simple Vegas magnet and a can opener in the shape of a muscular man wearing a speedo....classy!
