i don't believe you

so i work with shoes and every other week or so the buyers are searching for women that are perfect/true sizes so that when we get samples these people can try the shoes on and give the buyers and vendors feedback on any issues. usually these women get to keep the shoes or some of the shoes they try on. the other day our VP was on the hunt for the brannock device...we finally found it and so we all got our feet measured by one of the vendors. when it was my turn he measured my foot and it turns out i'm a 7 1/2 wide. wait.... i've been wearing 8 1/2 mediums since junior high....this is wrong. so i made my manager measure both of my feet today and sure enough i'm a 7 1/2 wide.

i asked zac if he knew that this meant i had to buy all new shoes. he didn't buy it. i don't know why i'm so shocked...everyone at work thinks i'm having a hard time with this because of the wide part...but i could care less about that. what gets me is that all these years thinking one thing and then all of a sudden bam it's like i don't even recognize my feet. what's next? am i going to find out i'm actually right handed?

Hopefully nobody brings in a tape measure and finds out how tall you actually are. (Or arent as the case may be.)

I've got weird feet sizing too. I can wear anywhere from a 6W to 7 1/2M depending on the shoe. I love shoes, but shopping for them sucks when every brand fits differently.

I'm a size 7 and am totally volunteering to be a shoe tryer on-er. It's a difficult job but someone has to do it.
