this afternoon i spoke with my mom and we talked about the appliances and furniture we need for our future houses.
mom: necesito comprar una mesita (i need to buy a little table)
me: oh yeah
mom: para el nookie (for the nookie)
me: (hee hee)
mom: por que todos rien cuando digo nookie? (why does everyone laugh when i say nookie?)
me: because nookie means sex
mom: oh...pues me vale. yo se que quiero decir. (oh...well i could care less. i know what i mean)
she went on to say that my dad and cousin laugh at her when she says that and she knows its a perverted laugh.
she needs to hurry and get a damn table for the breakfast nook so she can stop saying nookie!
to the spanish majors and fluent speakers, my apologies. i probably spelled everything wrong and i don't use accents or correct punctuation...so just deal with it.
